Financial Information

Affording an MBA is a daunting proposition. But, as current or previous members of the United States Armed Forces, we enjoy certain benefits - both through the VA and through MIT Sloan - that can alleviate part or all of the financial burden. If you have any questions regarding the GI Bill, we are happy to talk to you about our own experiences working through MIT Sloan's Financial Aid Office. We must note, however, that all questions on GI Bill eligibility should be directed to the Veterans Administration.

During the Application Process

$250 MBA Application Fee Waiver

MIT Sloan offers an application fee waiver to current or former United States Armed Forces members. The fee waiver processes automatically by checking the military identifier while submitting your application.

As a Student

Post 9/11 GI Bill

Qualified veterans are eligible for 9/11 GI Bill benefits at MIT Sloan. We recommend visiting the VA's GI Bill calculator to gauge a full picture of expected benefits while attending school in Cambridge and to pay special attention to BAH rates as compared to the local housing marketing. As of the 2023-2024 school year, E5 BAH is $4188.

Yellow Ribbon

MIT Sloan participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program. MIT Sloan contributes the maximum amount ($25,000) to be matched by the VA for all eligible veterans. Please keep in mind that only veterans who qualify for the GI Bill at the 100% rate are eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
