17th Annual MIT Sloan OpsSimCom

Want to test your skills in a competition against students from the top business schools from around the globe and win cash prizes? Compete in the 17th Annual MIT Sloan OpsSimCom!

The competition will run for 48 hours from 5pm EST on April 16th to 5pm EST on April 18th. Participants will operate a virtual factory in which they will invest in PP&E, manage costs, forecast demand, identify bottlenecks, and satisfy customer orders!

Students will have the opportunity to network with one another and learn valuable skills. No prior experience with simulations is required as we will conduct familiarization and training sessions.

Register by Apr 13 11:30 PM EST.

Team Prizes:

1st Place: $3,000

2nd: $1,500

3rd: $500

Rules:

• All participants must be currently enrolled students at the Masters level or above.
• Limit of four students per team; no limit on the number of teams per school.
• Each student can be a part of one team only.
• No outside help is allowed; teams cannot work together.
• The registration fee is $50 per team.

Freight Farms Virtual Trek

The Operations Club and Food & Agriculture Club are teaming up to bring you a virtual trek on hydroponic agriculture from one of the leading agtech companies in Boston - Freight Farms!

A brief overview of the trek:

• Virtual tour of their signature "shipping container farm" with MechE Bryan Hayes
