Club Funding Opportunities

Thank you to everyone who applied for Senate club funding this round. If you missed the deadline, or did not receive what you were hoping for, there will be another chance in spring. The best way to stay up to date on the application process and deadline is to read this newsletter.

In the meantime, visit this page to learn about other club funding opportunities.

We also encourage you to explore corporate sponsorship as an option for bringing in funding to support higher-cost events (like treks, C-Functions, retreats, workshops, etc.) and make them more financially accessible for your community.

Student Life is here to support you through securing sponsorship. Take a look at this site for more information on the sponsorship process.

Payment Options

As events and purchases pick up, please remember that there are several ways to pay vendors using club funds:

  • Over $1,000: Buy-to-Pay (preferred method for all payments)
  • $500 and under: Request to use the SLO credit card
  • Under $1,000: Personal Funds (RFP - request for reimbursement).  A few important notes on this method:
    • Please remember to save and upload the itemized receipt that shows proof of payment when submitting your RFP.
      • Accounts Payable thoroughly checks all receipts and will reject your RFP if it is not itemized or isn't showing proof of payment.
    • To avoid lost checks and get your reimbursements faster, be sure you are set up for direct deposit - click here to update your preferences.
    • If you prefer to get a check mailed to your current address, be sure your address is up to date in WebSIS.
    • Due to the high volume of reimbursement requests, please allow 2 weeks for RFPs to be extracted for payment.
