Sloan (E62) Garage Equipment Upgrade

The Sloan Garage (at E62) will begin undergoing improvements on Monday, April 1, as part of MIT Parking's ongoing project to upgrade parking gates and the license plate reader (LPR) system. The improvements at Sloan will take approximately two weeks to complete.

Key things to know about the two-week upgrade:

  • Sloan Garage will remain open for normal use for the duration of the work, and parking account holders can park there as they usually would.
  • Drivers should be cautious entering and exiting the garage to ensure the safety of workers who will be on the site and in the drivelines.
  • At some point, the garage gates and card access equipment will be removed for updating. Parking account holders can continue to park as usual; the LPR vehicle will circulate through the garage frequently to monitor compliance and daily payments.

Please feel free to contact the Parking & Transportation team at mitparking@mit.edu with any questions.
