BULLETIN BOARD

Congrats to SLO's March Community Impact Spotlight: Sloan Pride

Sloan Pride is commended for fostering an inclusive, supportive, and caring community that makes queer students feel safe and celebrated on campus. Sloan Pride’s nominator shared that, “It is extremely daunting to come out as queer in a new setting (such as a new school environment), and it really helps to see a vocal and vibrant queer support group where I can make connections and meet people with whom I can be my true self.” The nominator expressed they were very grateful and thankful of Sloan Pride for making Sloan a more welcoming and supportive place.

Every month, the Student Life Office wants to shine a spotlight on your fellow Sloanies whose contributions are making a positive impact to the greater MIT Sloan community. Nominate another student, student organization, or organization event as a highlight of your month. Submit your nominations here and let us know why they had a positive impact on you here. Nominations for this cycle are due on April 1st. Community Impact Spotlights will each receive $50 in TechCash, and all nominators will be entered into a lottery for a chance to win!

SW4W Spotlight Awards (Now - Friday, March 24)

Do you have a woman colleague or peer who deserves a shout-out for their exceptional contributions as a leader, collaborator, innovator, source of strength, or inspiration? Please nominate them for an SW4W Spotlight Award. Recipients will be featured on their website and Instagram throughout the month, alongside award winners from previous years.

Anyone can submit a nomination in support of a woman in our community (student, staff, faculty) whom they wish to recognize. The nomination form is hosted through SloanGroups. If you need assistance to fill out the form, please contact SW4W mitsloanw4w@mit.edu.
