Details
Cody helps leaders and organizations in high-stakes negotiations through coaching, training, and advising. He has worked with startups, family businesses, government agencies, and Fortune Global 500 firms around the world. As a former negotiation strategist with William Ury (coauthor of Getting to Yes and cofounder of Harvard’s Program on Negotiation), he has supported governments behind the scenes on cases ranging from the 2017-2018 Korean Nuclear Crisis to wars.
Cody is also a Lecturer in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution at Columbia. Previously, he spent five years as a researcher at Harvard Business School with Professor Deepak Malhotra, coauthoring a case taught in leading executive and graduate programs, including by a Nobel laureate. He holds graduate degrees from Columbia and Heidelberg and volunteers as a negotiation coach with Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership. He lives in Cambridge with his wife, Ana Carolina (MIT MBA ’26), and their dog, Charlie.
