Maine Winter Retreat
Every December, our whole club goes on a wintry retreat. We get a cabin (or two) in the mountains of Maine and spend a weekend bonding with each other and enjoying a nice break from our busy lives in Cambridge.

Staying true to its nerdy roots, MIT Sloan calls its cultural events "C-functions", abbreviated as C-f(x). Throughout the year, various groups put on these functions. There are Latin American, Black, Japanese, and many other C-f(x)s, but the LGBTQIA+ one is one of the last, and most fun, of the year. In 2021, we had the DragShow where we raised over $4,000 for 5 charities and had over 20 students participate
MIT Sloan also has a tradition of having various groups host Ask Me Anything (AMA) events. Every April, Sloan Pride hosts its own AMA in which a panel of five LGBTQIA+ Sloan students sits down and answers questions about what it's like to be LGBT at Sloan and in general. This year, close to 100 people attended our AMA.
Every February, many LGBTQIA+ Sloanies escape the Boston winter to join over 80 LGBTQIA+ MBA candidates from other top tier programs in Miami. It's a great opportunity to get to know LGBTQIA+ people in different programs and enjoy the beach at the same time.
In addition to our monthly social events throughout the year, we look forward to our QueersGiving every November.
Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) puts on the premier LGBTQIA+ MBA recruiting conference every October, during which many Sloanies have found their internships and post-MBA jobs. Sloan Pride works alongside the Career Development Office to prepare members for networking and interviewing at the event. Additionally, Pride works with the DEI, Student Life, and broader MIT LGBTQIA+ offices to subsidize student travel and conference fees to the event.
Every Spring, Pride takes the very cute -- and very queer -- Provincetown, MA! Activities include a Pride Prom, long walks (and cute pics) on the beach, drag shows, dune buggy rides, and oh so much more.
