We’re thrilled to welcome you to the vibrant MIT Sloan Community! Get ready for a journey of growth and discovery!
The Core semester will provide you with a solid foundation in essential business knowledge. You will dive into required courses covering the subjects of economics, accounting, managerial communication, business statistics, and organizational processes. This immersive experience also includes hands-on, team-based projects and your choice of one core elective in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, or Operations Management.
The sixth Core course, LEAD Week kicks off mid semester with a deep exploration of leadership in action. You'll reflect on your values, leadership style, and how to foster high-impact, inclusive organizations. Through experiential sessions and peer dialogue, you’ll develop practical skills in leading yourself, leading others, and leading with integrity, anchoring your academic experience in self-awareness, accountability, and the ability to shape thriving cultures.
In parallel, MIT Sloan's Career Development Office will provide a combination of on-demand resources and live industry-focused sessions to help you gain essential industry insights and job search skills. These are designed to help you strategize and navigate MBA career opportunities as you work towards becoming market ready.
After the Core semester, you’ll gain greater independence in shaping your MIT Sloan journey. You can choose from a wide array of electives, participate in extracurricular opportunities, and pursue certificate programs to develop expertise in areas aligned with your goals, allowing for both depth and breadth in your academic path.
