The Core semester will provide you with a solid foundation in essential business knowledge. You will dive into core subjects such as economics, accounting, managerial communication, business statistics, organizational processes, and leadership, ethics, and DEI challenges (LEAD). This immersive experience will be complemented by hands-on, team-based projects focused on organizational processes and your choice of one core elective in Finance, Marketing, Strategy, or Operations Management. Furthermore, MIT Sloan's Career Core program in the Core semester will equip you with insights into professional development and job search skills.
Following the Core semester, MBA students have the opportunity to customize their MIT Sloan experience by selecting from a diverse range of elective courses and engaging in various extracurricular activities. This phase gives you significant independence in choosing your courses, allowing you to shape your own academic path and potentially design a program that emphasizes both depth and breadth. Additionally, you'll have the option to enroll in certificate programs to further enhance your skills.
