June is Pride Month!
Pride Month is a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community, and occurs every June to commemorate the Stone Wall Riots, which started on June 28th, 1969. This month we encourage everyone to partake and celebrate pride, either by attending a Pride event, learning more about pride and the LGBTQ+ community, or supporting LGBTQ+ businesses. Here's a list of a few ways you can participate in Pride Month this year:

Cambridge Arts River Festival 2024
Saturday, June 15th 11am-6pm
Returns to the banks of the Charles River along Memorial Drive between JFK Street and Western Avenue.

City Splash 2024: Swimming in the Charles River

City Splash is a community event that provides the public the rare opportunity to swim in the Charles River and raise awareness to bring river swimming back to Boston! Countdown to the annual Charles River swim starts now! Event registration will open Thursday, June 6. With spots limited, you won’t want to miss out on securing your place for the once-a-year opportunity to swim in the Charles River.

Announcing the Third MIT Sloan Children’s Clothing Swap
Tuesday, June 25 from 11am-2pm

No registration required – arrive day-of with your own take-away bag
Welcoming gently worn clothes from birth to 5 years – we all know a food stain doesn’t ruin a perfectly good outfit! – and suggest you bring your own bags to collect what you would like to take home. You don’t need to bring items to participate. All caregivers and expecting parents are encouraged to join! All leftover clothing will be donated through the MIT Community Services Office.
