Celebrating Pride & Caribbean American Heritage Month
June is a time to honor identity, culture, and community. At MIT, we proudly celebrate Pride Month, recognizing the resilience, joy, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community, and Caribbean American Heritage Month, which honors the rich cultural legacy and achievements of Caribbean Americans. Throughout the month, join us in events and reflections that uplift visibility, inclusion, and belonging across our campus and beyond. Check out some events happening around Boston this summer here:
MIT Fun Facts and Starbucks Tour Monday, June 23rd
11:45am-12:45pm
New to MIT Sloan and like Starbucks? Paul Buckley will serve as you tour guide extraordinaire! He will lead a small group of students to some of the coolest places around Sloan, with interesting facts and stories about our historic campus, and Cambridge. You will end the tour with new friends, fun facts, and your favorite Starbucks drink (on us!)
Sloan on the Lawn Every Wednesday 11am-1:30pm
Gruber Court
Take a midweek break with us every Wednesday during the lunch hour! Student Life will take over Gruber Court with lawn games like cornhole, giant Jenga, Connect 4, and more! Whether you're looking to unwind, compete, or just vibe to some music, there's something for everyone. No registration required.
Celebrate Juneteenth Wednesday, June 18th
12pm-2pm Kendall/MIT Open Space
Celebrate Juneteenth (a day early!) with live music, delicious food truck options, lawn games, and more. This program is presented in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management.
Family Movie Night: Inside Out Friday, June 13th

Join MIT Open Spage Programming for an outdoor movie night! Featuring Inside Out (PG). Please note that seating is available on a first come, first served basis; feel free to bring along a blanket or chair.

In observance of Juneteenth, MIT and the Student Life Office will be closed on Thursday, June 19. We encourage our community to take this time to reflect, learn, and honor the significance of this day in American history.
