The Yarn Tuesday, February 20th 7pm-10pm Wong Auditorium
Storytellers rule the world, so let's listen. Come watch your classmates unravel the yarn as we build community. The Yarn is a storytelling platform designed to connect the Sloan Community. Sloanies share personal stories that celebrate our diversity of values, perspectives, and experiences.
Sloan Pride C-f(x): Drag Show
Thursday, February 29th 8pm-11:55pm Middle East Downstairs
Come celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, specifically drag culture. Cheer on your classmates as they strut the runway and compete in a friendly competition showing off their alter egos, then dance the night away to some bangin' tunes. All proceeds will go to supporting LGBTQ+ charities! Tickets: $15+
Course XV Dinner
Wednesday, February 21st
6:30pm-8:30pm Course XV Dinners are an opportunity for 15 students from across programs to have a free, delicious, three course dinner at a local venue with a member of the Student Life and DEI Offices.

SLO Focus Groups The mission of the Student Life Office (SLO) states: “we are here to help students navigate their MIT Sloan experience and the many resources at their disposal while supporting a diverse and caring student culture.” We live out this mission by promoting our 3 C’s: Caring, Contribution, and Community. Please join us for a focus group to help us understand how MIT Sloan students from all programs experience these core principles.
Push for Parity 2024 Event Series
Sloan Women in Management is excited to launch an empowering 3 weeks of Push for Parity 2024! Join them from Feb 20 - Mar 7 for a lineup of inspiring events aimed at promoting gender parity. From panels featuring FemTech leaders, Family Planning experts, insightful dinners with leaders like Arathi Mehrotra and Dana White, to a 90’s dance party at Icon Nightclub, there's something for everyone. MIT CSAIL and the Howe Innovation Center are hosting #HackDisability: AI for Accessibility
MIT CSAIL and the Howe Innovation Center are hosting #HackDisability: AI for Accessibility February 23 to February 25, 2024, at CSAIL. Register and learn more here. This event will bring together diverse teams of software and hardware engineers, students, product managers, MBAs, designers, and people with the lived experience of having a disability, with the shared goal of developing innovative AI solutions to enhance accessibility for people with disabilities. Over the three-day event, each group will identify, design, build, test, and iterate on prototype solutions to known challenges facing the disability community.
Announcing the Climate Project at MIT
Last week, MIT President Sally Kornbluth announced the Climate Project at MIT, "Representing a compelling new strategy for accelerated, university-led innovation, the Climate Project at MIT will focus our community’s talent and resources on solving critical climate problems with all possible speed – and will connect us with a range of partners to deliver those technological, behavioral and policy solutions to the world."
The 2nd Annual MIT Female Founders Pitch Competition
The 2nd Annual MIT Female Founders Pitch Competition is now accepting applications until February 29th, 2024, for the event on Pi Day, March 14th, at Deutsche Bank Center in New York City. Teams with at least one female MIT-affiliated founder, less than $1M in ARR, and less than $10M in equity funding are eligible. The first-place winner will receive a $10,000 cash prize. The event includes a pitch competition, roundtables, and networking opportunities, with early bird tickets available and discounts for MIT and Sloan alumni. Sponsorship opportunities are also open, and last year's event saw over 200 attendees. This year’s leading sponsors are Deutsche Bank and Fox Rothschild.
