November is Native American Heritage Month
Native American Heritage Month, also commonly known as American Indian and Alaska Native Heritage Month, celebrates the traditions, cultures, histories and ancestry of America’s Indigenous peoples. This month we encourage everyone to learn more about the diverse cultures and history of indigenous people.
Indigenous Peoples Center: Located in W31-221 this is a space dedicated to indigenous students for the purposes of relaxing, studying and finding community on campus!
MIT AISES (American Indian Science and Engineering Society): AISES is dedicated towards the advancement and representation of the native student body at MIT. They are a source of Indigenous culture, an advocate for native rights and causes, and a support network for our students and allies. They often host informal study sessions, cater snacks and watch films that open discussion about native issues or identity.
