Let’s Chat is a drop-in service that provides MIT undergraduate and graduate students with easy access to informal, free, confidential consultations with clinicians from MIT Health’s Student Mental Health & Counseling. Meetings are 20 minutes long and will take place over Zoom.
Let’s Chat is a good fit for:
Students who are not sure about the counseling process and want to know what it’s like to talk with a clinician or to learn about student mental health resources
Students who are not interested in ongoing counseling but would like the perspective of a clinician
Students who have a specific problem and would like to talk with someone about it; common concerns include stress, sadness, anxiety, difficulty adjusting to school, family issues, and relationship issues
Students who have a concern about a friend and would like advice on what to do
Let’s Chat isn’t formal counseling; if you are currently in distress or would like to connect with a clinician for mental health services, call Student Mental Health & Counseling at 617-253-2916 and ask to speak with a mental health clinician
Student Opportunities at the List Center
Every year, the MIT List Visual Arts Center begins the Fall semester with the Student Lending Art Program Exhibition. It’s a unique opportunity where students can enter a lottery for the chance to borrow artwork for their living spaces for the year.
All submissions should be directed to this survey which automatically submits your submission for review for the MFin, Student Life, SES, EMBA and SFMBA departments.
