Student Lending Art Program Exhibition Tour Friday, September 1st 12:30pm-1pm MIT List Visual Arts Center
Join the List Center for a tour of the 2023 Student Loan Art Program exhibition and see the breadth of original works of art available to MIT students to borrow for the year. A List staff member will lead a guided tour highlighting a selection of the 700 works of art included in the student lending art collection. Students can explore the collection and enter the lottery.
MIT Community Service Fund Used Book Sale

Bookworms, this is your moment! Stop by the MIT Community Service Fund Used Book Sale to discover a large selection of unbelievably priced textbooks, nonfiction, novels, and more. Feel free to grab lunch to go alongside your new books — food trucks will be on site from 11am to 2pm.

On Friday, September 15, the MIT Police and the Parking & Transportation Office will hold a bicycle auction of used or abandoned bicycles, weather permitting.
The auction will run from 12 noon to 2:30 PM at 290 Albany Street in Cambridge.
The lot opens at 11:30 AM for an opportunity to preview the bicycles.
A valid MIT ID is required to participate.
Proceeds from the auction go toward campus bicycle initiatives, and payment is by credit card only. Note: There is a three-bike maximum purchase per individual.

New Need-based Grant for Graduate Students with Children
In addition to the need-blind MIT Grant for Graduate Students with Children (GGSC), in fall 2023, MIT is pleased to offer a more substantive supplemental grant, based on need, of up to $10,000 for the 2023-24 academic year for graduate students who have children. This grant is currently available to those supported by fellowships (from either an MIT source or an external source). Graduate students can read the eligibility requirements and apply on the OGE website. The application will open on Monday, August 28.
MIT Intramural Registration
Intramural sports gather the MIT community for friendly and fun competition through weekly short term sport leagues on campus. Registration for fall intramural sports will take place September 4th - September 13th. Browse the list of all MIT Intramural Sports offerings here. MIT offers a range of Intramural sports, from soccer and flag football, to air pistol and the Simply Walks Into Mordor Challenge.
