Club Renewal Deadline Next Week!

The Club Renewal Survey is live! Deadline to complete this survey is Wednesday, March 12, 2025 11:59PM EST (Wednesday before Spring SIP & Spring Break).

Before you begin the survey, please be prepared with the following information:

  • Name & Email of New President(s), Finance Lead, & Space Reserver
  • Club's ByLaws (a document will need to be uploaded)
  • Club's Mission Statement & Member Benefits Statement
  • Club's Website (and password if applicable)
  • Club's Instagram (if applicable)

Your responses to the above survey provide Student Life with the info needed to get incoming leaders set up with necessary permissions before future trainings. Once you submit you survey, you will receive a confirmation email from Elizabeth with next steps.

Club outgoing and incoming officers are encouraged to meet with the Student Life Office for a transition meeting before Spring SIP. If you are interested in doing so, feel free to book a time with Nicole Willits or Elizabeth Sideri.

Note: If you are a NEW or recently revived club and your leadership team is not changing - please still complete this survey with your current information.

In Practice...

  • Outgoing leaders should remain active with administrative roles through the end of the academic year.
Incoming leaders should shadow until they are set up with permissions to reserve space and view club accounts.

MIT's Culture and Community Awards

Sloan DEI is seeking nominations for MIT Sloan’s Culture and Community Awards, which recognize students who have actively contributed to strengthening the culture of the MIT Sloan community—embodying the spirit of Sloanies helping Sloanies.

 

These awards give us the opportunity to define and celebrate what community means to us. We believe that great ideas and talent can come from anyone. Our goal is to cultivate a welcoming community where individuals from all backgrounds can grow, thrive, and truly feel a sense of belonging. 

 

Who We Recognize

These awards honor undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated a commitment to strengthening the MIT Sloan culture and community. Examples include:

  • Building connections by collaborating with MIT Sloan community members and administration to enhance opportunity and equity and foster a more connected environment.
  • Advancing the Smarter Together initiative by breaking down barriers and strengthening relationships across the MIT Sloan community.
  • Demonstrating leadership in creating an open, welcoming, and supportive culture where all members can thrive.


Awardees are recognized at a reception on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

SLO Club Leader Trainings:

All co-presidents, finance leads, and space reservers named in the 2025-2026 club transition survey will be required to attend the following two training sessions. Club funding for fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters provided through the Sloan Senate is contingent upon attendance.

Events with Alcohol

A friendly reminder that MIT requires events to be registered on Atlas if they are being held at a venue where alcohol is available (i.e. a local restaurant) even if no one is planning to drink. These types of events should be registered as "cash bar" events. You can reference this handy video to learn how to properly complete the form for cash bar events. See more information on guidelines for events with alcohol here.

Please note that if you do not follow this process, reimbursements for related expenses will not be approved.
