Club Website Audit/Updates

Student Life performed a club website audit and noticed the majority of club websites need work.  We will be reaching out individually to those clubs, but in the meantime, here's what you can do:

  • Make sure you have something written in the "Mission" and "Membership Benefits" section of your SloanGroups settings
  • Make sure your leadership team is up to date: remove any graduated students by un-checking the boxes labeled "Active Officer" and "Visible Publicly"

The SloanGroups websites automatically pull information directly from your group’s settings in SloanGroups. If sections are left blank, your website will default and fill that section with lorem ipsum text. For example, if the member benefits section is left blank, it will fill in with the following text, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, mel graeco dicunt id, ex pro hendrerit definitiones..."

Making sure your club officers, missions statement, membership benefits sections and events are complete with accurate information is key to preventing websites from looking stale and/or including lorum ipsum language on your sites.

Clubs can easily unpublish entire pages or remove sections of a page using the web builder tool. Linking a helpful resource here, and we are happy to help further advise any club with questions.

It is important for club websites to be up to date as many prospective students look to these to make their decisions and new students are looking to get involved!

Club Room Cleanout Deadline: Wednesday, May 14th

Attention all Club Room users! The deadline to cleanup/cleanout the Club Room is Wednesday, May 14th.

Please stop by before then to make sure all your club's items are contained in your club's ONE alotted bin. All packages must be picked up before you leave for the summer. The Club Room is not meant to store SWAG long term. Any items outside of your bin (cardboard boxes, bags, additional bins) will be removed/discarded/donated. The Student Life team will begin cleanout the week of May 19th.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Interested in hosting a C-Function in 2025/2026?

Each year there is an application process for C(Fx) dates and financial assistance. For the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year, the application is open now and will close on June 20th. The C(Fx) schedule will be released in early-August.
