SloanSpace is Sunsetting – Replaced with Robin

Attention Space Reservers!

To help better support the needs of the community, Sloan Technology Services will be sunsetting the SloanSpace (EMS) space reservation system by the end of this month. This follows central MIT’s decision to leave the platform over the same period. STS will launch a new, holistic landing page for space reservations, detailing policies and how to request each type of space at Sloan.

If you have upcoming reservations for club activities in MIT Sloan public spaces (such as E62 Roberts Family Forum or adjacent outdoor spaces, Diebold Lounge, or table displays), please be aware that all reservations will be put into a freeze as of Monday, November 25th, so that STS can migrate upcoming reservations into the appropriate next-generation Robin reservation system. Other types of space at MIT Sloan (such as classrooms and study spaces) will continue to be requested and available as usual.

Important things to note:
  • Sloanspace.mit.edu will no longer accept reservations as of the end of the day on Friday, November 22nd. If you need to make a new reservation or changes to an existing reservation before Monday, December 2nd, please reach out to Educational Services at edservices.mitsloan@mit.edu
  • On Tuesday, November 23rd, sloanspace.mit.edu will redirect to the new Space Reservation landing page, with resources and links to the various spaces across MIT Sloan.
  • New reservation requests for spaces formerly in SloanSpace will be in Robin as of Monday, December 2nd. All pre-existing reservations will have been migrated into the new systems by that point in time.
If you have questions, or issues making space requests as of Monday, December 2nd, please contact Sloan Technology Services at stshelp@mit.edu

Using SLO Credit Card

Clubs can use the Student Life Office credit card for purchases under 500$. To do so, fill out a Credit Card Purchase Request Form at least two full business days in advance.

How to make a credit card payment:

  • Call the vendor and place the order. Verify the cost and make sure the vendor knows that MIT is tax-exempt. Student Life will then call in the credit card number to the vendor.
  • For online ordering: after you receive the confirmation email from SLO, stop by E52-101 to place your order on an SLO computer. The SLO credit card cannot be saved to personal vendor accounts.

Office Highlight: Office of Communications

The Office of Communications (OC) is dedicated to sharing MIT Sloan's stories with the world and raising awareness of the people, ideas, and talent that could only come together at MIT Sloan. The OC works with student clubs and organizations on events and conferences by:
