BIIG grants provide financial support for initiatives that strengthen the guiding pillars of MIT’s strategic plan as it relates to belonging. To receive funding, MIT Sloan students and organizations applying for funding are charged to successfully submit a challenge or opportunity that they are trying to address and subsequently explain how the initiative they are seeking funding advances a solution to the problem or creates opportunities for the MIT Sloan community.

On Tuesday, September 9 (12:30p)  and Wednesday, September, 10 (12:30p) We'd like to share some updates and receive feedback on our grant program. Last year we piloted it as "DIG" - The Diversity and Innovation Grant. Locations for both meetings are in the suite for DEI and Student Life E52 - 100. During this meeting students will:
  • Be provided a chance to view the application
  • Learn more about the processes of receiving a grant
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions about the grant
For context:

We've rebranded it given that most of the work being done among grant recipients last year was along the lines of belonging. It will now be called the "Belonging, Innovation, and Impact Grant" (BIIG). There have been some changes given what we expect to be a higher level of interest this year. Additionally, these changes seek to optimize the process for students. We'd like to share this information with you as student leaders and learn more about how this grant might be able to help you make the most of the learning opportunities here at MIT Sloan.

Lunch will be served via Cava. If you'd like us to buy you lunch please visit the Cava Website and enter your order as you sign up for this meeting.
