John Ghirardelli is an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners where he leads digital and communications infrastructure investments in the Americas, based in New York. John oversees the firm's investment in Lightpath and Flexential, where he also sits on the Board of Directors and chairs several board committees.

Prior to joining MSIP, John was at Macquarie Capital where he helped lead the firm’s global balance sheet principal investing activities targeting digital infrastructure asset creation opportunities. Before Macquarie, John held various management positions at American Tower Corporation, a global Fortune 500 provider of wireless communications infrastructure, where he was responsible for leading, operating, acquiring, and developing communications infrastructure including towers. data centers, fiber and other next generation wireless infrastructure assets. Prior to American Tower, John worked TowerBrook Capital Partners and the Investment Banking Division of Merrill Lynch & Co.

John holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Georgetown University and a M.B.A from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
