Through a ~45-minute speaker / Q&A session, we’ll explore their current thesis of investing in the entire AI stack and its supporting infrastructure, from hardware to software, what they look for in early-stage startups and lessons learned from portfolio companies. After the speaker session, both investors will hold office hours for student teams in 15-minute slots.

Foothill Ventures has been highly active in AI hardware infra and software, having invested in OmniML (edge AI), d-Matrix (Ultra-low latency batched inference), Anyware Robotics (warehouse automation), WeRide (autonomous driving), Bubble (no-code), Otter.ai (notetaking and productivity copilot), etc. Beyond these, they have also made seed-stage, highly successful bets on companies like Zoom Communications, Iterable, Carta, Plus.ai, Ascend Elements and Ambilight, all subsequent Unicorns.
