Earth is the only planet with craft beer – so let’s protect it!

How can we produce and consume beer in a more environmentally responsible manner? Join the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative and the MIT Sloan Beer Club to explore sustainability practices from grain to glass. Rob Vandenabeele, brewery sustainability consultant and founder of EcoFriendlyBeer (https://ecofriendlybeer.com), will guide us through the end-to-end beer value chain to unpack critical decision points that can drive more sustainable beer production and consumption. He will then moderate an industry panel to explore topics like sustainable ingredient sourcing, energy efficiency, emissions reduction, waste upcycling, and taproom conservation measures.

As professionals re-entering the workforce, you’ll discover how to critically assess and implement sustainable practices along the value chain. And as consumers, you’ll walk away with tactical tips to help lighten the eco footprint of your next drink!
Food Provided (Vegetarian food options will be provided for our in person attendees)
