Join the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative for an enlightening open talk with Watatakalu Yawalapiti, renowned Brazilian Indigenous activist and defender of the Amazon, Indigenous cultures, and women's rights. As the leader of the Yawalapiti tribe and head of the Brazilian Indigenous Woman Association, Watatakalu has significantly influenced Brazil's Indigenous representation in governance and international forums, including COP27.

Spearheading efforts to protect Indigenous lands, combat deforestation, and promote regenerative agriculture in the Amazon, she's a key figure in the global climate conversation. Don't miss this chance to hear from a successor to the legacy of Cacique Raoni. RSVP required.
