Welcome (Back) Sea-Function

Join us for our annual Sea Function, a scenic cruise around Boston! Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 6th at 12pm EST. This event is 21+.

Dinner will be provided. Dress is business casual or cocktail attire. Significant others (21+) are welcome. Limit 2 tickets per student. 

Important Ticket Information

Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday, August 6th at 12:00 pm until sold out.

Please be prepared to present your valid 21+ US government ID (with your date of birth) when boarding the boats. You need to bring a Passport or US Issued Government ID.

Important: Please note that due to US Coast Guard regulations, you MUST provide positive, government ID (original documents only, no photocopies) showing that you are over 21 in order to board the boat. Boarding will begin at 6:00pm and the boats depart the docks at 7:00pm. Please allow adequate travel time to arrive at the Rowes Wharf docks we will not be able to hold the boats for latecomers.

Choosing Which Boat to Board!
We will have both The Odyssey and Spirit of Boston for the night—for you to meet and mingle with Sloanies across programs and cohorts. You can either attend the Sea-Function on The Odyssey or the Spirit of Boston. It will not be possible for you to attend both boats. 

As there are two boats, we recommend the following breakdown for ticket sales:

If any tickets remain, tickets will open up to Sloan affiliate (SDM, IDM, VF) programs on August 28th at 12pm.

Ticket Pick-Up

In addition to a passport or US ID (US Driver's license or State ID), you will need to pick up your US Coast Guard issued boarding ticket. You can collect your ticket from the Student Life Office during these times:

• Tuesday, September 2nd
  • 10am-2pm

If you are attending a Student Life Office Welcome Session on August 26th or 27th, you can also collect your ticket immediately following the end of the session in the lobby of E51.

Reminders:

• Boarding is at 6:00 pm. 
• Bring your valid, original government photo ID and your boarding passes to the dock at 6:00pm. Without your photo ID, the Coast Guard will not allow you to board the boat.
• Dress is Business Casual or Cocktail Attire
• Refund deadline is August 20th at 11:55pm
• Due to safety regulations, children are not allowed on the cruise
• All guests must be at least 21 years of age
• There is a limit of two tickets per person

Deadline to request a refund is Wednesday, August 20th

Photography Notice
Please note that a photographer will be present at this event. Photos may be used by the Student Life Office (SLO) for communications and promotional purposes. If you have concerns about being photographed, please speak with a staff member at the event.
