Arlie Hochschild, Professor Emerita of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley, will discuss her new book, Strangers in Their Own Land: Anger and Mourning on the American Right. Audience discussion will follow and a light lunch will be served. Hochschild, one of the most influential sociologists of her generation, is the author of nine books, including The Second Shift, The Time Bind, and The Outsourced Self.
