Veena Jayadeva is currently Head of ESG & Chief of Staff to the Chief Information and Operations Officer, supporting Guardian's strategic priorities and playing a key role in the company's expanding Environmental, Social and Governance efforts. She was formerly Guardian's Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), driving social community investments, leading employee engagement, and supporting environmental sustainability. She joined Guardian in 2015 to build the Fortune 250 company's first CSR program, leveraging her deep experience in financial inclusion and strategy consulting.

Prior to Guardian, Veena was a Vice President at Grameen America, a NYC-based microfinance institution that has invested over $2B in women-led micro- and small businesses across the country. Previously, Veena was a Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she served clients in the financial services and healthcare sectors.

Veena spent the early part of her career in international development, microfinance, and CSR at organizations including the World Bank, United Nations, and International Monetary Fund.

Veena holds a Master of Business Administration from MIT Sloan, where she was a Seley Scholar, the business school's highest merit award. She holds a Master of Arts in international economics and a Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Johns Hopkins University. Veena currently serves on the Board of Directors of Global Impact, is a member of the MIT Sloan Alumni Board and serves on the Corporate Leadership Council of Creating Healthier Communities (CHC). She is an active advisor and investor in mission-driven startups.
