Want to know what your future holds? Grab one of our grad-themed GSAW fortune cookies at most in-person events for a smile. There will also be perfectly adorable stickers of Tim the Beaver row, row, rowing his boat in 2025. Collect one for each year of your grad career at MIT!

Brighten a fellow grad student’s day with a heartfelt or funny GSAWgram! Scavenger Hunt

Calling all intrepid explorers! Want to win some fun prizes?

It’s 2035, and OGE GradSupport has built an AI to help students find the right campus resources. There’s just one problem: it’s completely unreliable! Students in need are being sent to all the wrong offices, and we need your help to fix the chaos. 10 shutdown codes have been scattered across campus, written invisibly in plain sight – find all ten to power down our AI before it makes more mistakes!

Join our campus-wide scavenger hunt during Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) for a hands-on mission to track down misplaced students, help match them with the right services, and collect all 10 codes. Swing by OGE Headquarters (3-107) before getting started to pick up a mini black light UV flashlight, which will help reveal the ‘hidden’ shutdown codes that are needed to progress through each clue. Along the way, you’ll get an in-depth look at the various resources available to you at MIT, and a chance to win big prizes when you’ve finished!

Prizes include a Nespresso Vertuo, Bluetooth speaker, a mini herb garden kit, and 15 beach towels. Winners will be picked via a random drawing of all teams who successfully complete the scavenger hunt.

To be eligible to win, scavenger hunts must be timestamped as completed by 11:59 pm on Saturday, April 12, and winners will be announced on Monday, April 14. Each team is only eligible to win one prize, so be sure to team up with people you don’t mind sharing with! Each team may consist of 1 to 5 students.
