to celebrate your completion of the MFin Program!

MFin 2023 Graduation Ceremony

Schedule

9:00 am – doors open; general seating.
9:00 am – graduates check-in with MFin Staff
10:00 am - 12:00 pm – ceremony

Tickets

Each graduate is eligible for up to four (4) guest tickets for the MFin Graduation Ceremony (students must wear their regalia as their ticket to enter the venue). Scroll down to the Pre-Graduation Tasks section for more information.

Program Highlights

each graduate is announced on stage and receives their diploma from Dean Schmittlein
photo of each graduate will be taken by a professional photographer; individual photos will be available for purchase

MFin Class Speaker and MFin Award Nominations

MFin Class Speaker

The MFin Graduation Ceremony will include remarks from one MFin Class Speaker. This role will be a wonderful opportunity to share reflections and best wishes to classmates via a 5-minute speech.

MFin Award

Recognize the contributions of your classmates! One MFin student or team/group will receive the “Enriching the MFin Experience Award” at the June 1 Graduation Ceremony. This special award is designed to recognize participation in and sustained contribution to program initiatives, projects, and efforts that collectively have a positive impact on the overall student experience.

Pre-Graduation Tasks

Tickets

To claim tickets, all 2023 graduates will need to complete both the MFin Student Experience Survey and the CDO Employment Survey.

February 2023 graduates can pick up their tickets on-site at the will-call table, located on the 2nd floor. June 2023 graduates will be able to pick up their tickets at the MFin Program Office in May.

Students are permitted to pass along to graduating peers any tickets that will not be needed, but under no circumstances may tickets be bought or sold.

Register for the MFin Graduation Events

Help us prepare for the Graduation events by confirming your attendance through SloanGroups. In the registration form, you can provide the number of tickets you will need for each event and request special accommodations for your guests, such as wheelchair access.

Remember: only those who complete the MFin and CDO surveys will be able to register for each event.

Registration for February 2023 graduates will open early March; June 2023 graduates can register in late April.

Regalia & Stoles

Regalia is required to participate in all MIT Graduation events, including the OneMIT Commencement ceremony.

The deadline to purchase your regalia is Friday, April 14, and you have three options for obtaining it. Learn more here.

Stoles will be available for pick up at the Marriott. Graduates, be sure to arrive at 9:00 am and check in with MFin staff to get your stole.

Livestream

The MFin Graduation Ceremony will be available via live web streaming.
