The session will engage and energize you to pay more attention and be more intentional about how you launch your Core teams and set you up for the most success possible.

Director, MIT Leadership Center

Tracy Purinton provides general administrative oversight of the Leadership Center and plays a key role in the ongoing strategic and operational advancement of MIT Sloan's leadership development initiatives. Tracy provides a school-wide vantage point of the existing and emerging leadership development activities relevant to the MIT Sloan's mission and ensures the identification and use of best practices and consistency across degree programs. Her goal is to create an effective infrastructure to enable each degree program to focus on their specific audiences and program components while most effectively leveraging shared purpose to ensure consistency of practice, resource management, and maximum impact of efforts with regards to student leadership development.

Tracy has worked in university student services for more than 20 years and has been at MIT since 2000. She spent her first 9 years at MIT serving in various roles in MIT's Division of Student Life (DSL). Prior to MIT, she has worked at Boston University, Simmons College and Harvard University. Tracy has significant experience in curriculum development, program design and delivery, coaching, student development and advising. Tracy has a B.A. from Middlebury College and a Master of Education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.

Lou will be facilitating exercises at the Warren Center.  He is the founder of Edgework Consulting, and brings to his consulting work a rare blend of design expertise, professional consulting presence and truly engaging and exciting facilitation. Lou's passion for learning stems from years of work on the front lines of education and organizational development, across the USA and in Israel, South Africa, Malawi, Thailand, Ireland, and beyond.  Lou has worked in the classroom as well as in non-traditional educational settings, with populations ranging from executives from major corporations to young adults with life threatening illnesses.
What truly distinguishes Lou from other similarly skilled consultants is his unwavering ability to place the end client at the center of his design.   Lou is absolutely committed to creating learning and change-environments that are dynamic, vibrant and results-focused.   Lou's extensive content knowledge base in the realm of organizational development, innovation, leadership and team development is a direct result of his near obsession with learning and growth. The breadth and depth of Lou's experiences allow him to offer perspectives that very few people can.
