There's a 72% chance that you've heard of design thinking, human-centered design, or user-centered innovation: "Develop empathy. Uncover the needs… Now, reframe the problem. Quick, prototype your idea!"
Traditional design thinking has equipped us to build innovative, human-centered products and services. However, it doesn't equip us, as leaders of tomorrow, with the ability to envision our own future and turn that future into reality. Join MIT Integrated Design + Management for a Creating The Future workshop. We'll push the boundaries and used a structured approach to develop a far-out, future vision for a company and turn that vision into reality starting today. You don't need prior experience, just a desire to disrupt and change the status quo.
We will create future visions using three-dimensional thinking: looking at human needs, technology inspiration, and industry trends. Then, we'll root those visions into today's reality: judging desirability, feasibility and viability to trace back your grand, sci-fi visions to mid-term goals and current opportunities, and using prototyping to start building towards the future.
Benefits:
• Build imagination skills
• Learn new approaches to innovation
• Understand the influence of primordial human needs, disruptive technology, and industry trends
• Solve complex challenges through a structured futuring exercise
• Strengthen the muscle to turn imaginations, sci-fi visions into reality today
