Join us for a virtual lunch and learn session with Emily You, a senior Data Scientist at Microsoft, who will talk about Powering Cloud Consumption at Scale: How Data Science and AI Drive Business Decisions at Microsoft.

In this talk, she will give an inside look into how Microsoft approaches the complex world of cloud consumption - how we measure it, analyze it, and use it to guide business decisions across teams like Finance and Sales. I’ll walk through how data science enables this space and how AI is transforming it further. The goal is to give students a real-world view of how analytics and AI are embedded into enterprise-scale cloud businesses - and what it takes to turn raw usage data into actionable insight.

Speaker Bio:

Emily is a data scientist in the Azure Consumption space as part of Microsoft's Customer Experience Data team. She focuses on bringing clarity to Microsoft Cloud usage, analyzing revenue and consumption trends, and delivering insights that help customers maximize the value of the Commercial Cloud.
She holds a Master’s degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Beyond her work in data science, Emily is passionate about fostering community among early-in-career professionals. She has led employee groups dedicated to supporting new hires and interns at Microsoft, helping them navigate their careers and grow in the tech industry.
