Shan Wu is Director of Business Development at Magenta Therapeutics, a now-public biotech company launched by Third Rock Ventures and Atlas Venture in 2016. She joined Magenta in 2016 and has played a key role in building the company and establishing the business function at Magenta. She has spearheaded efforts in partnering and business development, corporate and portfolio strategy, market modeling, financing including Magenta's IPO, and business operations for its portfolio of programs. Prior to Magenta, Shan led commercial forecasting and analytics for Biogen's global multiple sclerosis portfolio. Prior to Biogen, she was an Engagement Manager with strategy consulting firm Clarion Healthcare. Shan holds a BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia where she was a Jefferson Scholar, and a PhD in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where she received the Karl Taylor Compton Institute Award.
