Castor Ventures

Castor Ventures is a venture fund of MIT alumni investing together into MIT alumni-led companies. Castor is private, for profit, and not a part of (but friendly with) the universities where it operates.

The Venture Fellow Program offers MIT alumni and graduate students exposure to venture capital. VC is a tough industry to break into, but the fellow program offers hands-on investing experience. It is an educational opportunity that makes a meaningful impact on career acceleration and trajectory; nearly 40% of fellows find roles in VC or entrepreneurship after completing the program.

A core tenet of the Venture Fellow Program is to promote diversity in Venture Capital. Castor is providing an on-ramp to Venture Capital for historically underrepresented groups. Castor encourages alumni from all genders, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds to apply.

No prior experience in venture capital is required. There is no financial cost to those who are selected to join the program.

In order to apply, applicants must submit an applications through the Venture Fellow Program Page. The priority deadline to apply for admission to the January 2021 cohort is September 20, 2020. Applications will be reviewed after the final application deadline.
