Luke will give insight into what trends VCs are seeing in the tech ecosystem and Lightspeed's investment philosophy. As summer/graduation approaches and many students are thinking of career options, he will offer perspective on how to think about various career choices including working at large tech companies, starting a company, or joining a startup. For those interested in experiencing entrepreneurship over a summer in a risk-free setting, he will also cover the Lightspeed Summer Fellowships.

Luke Beseda leads Talent at Lightspeed, an early-stage venture capital firm that has invested in companies including Snapchat, Stitch Fix, Nest, AppDynamics, Nutanix, and more. His team works with over 200 startups, connecting them with top talent and scaling their hiring infrastructure. Prior to Lightspeed, Luke lead recruiting at Flurry, a mobile analytics and advertising company acquired by Yahoo!, and Nextag, an e-commerce company.
