Mitch Goldstein serves as Commonwealth Fusion Systems' Chief Financial Officer, leading the company's finance and accounting organizations with lens of operational and financial rigor.
Mitch Goldstein is a seasoned business leader who has carved out a specialty as an activist CFO, using his platform to drive operational improvements and business growth at public and private companies alike for the past 35 years. Most recently, he turned around NextEra's nuclear fission fleet and integrated Gulf Power into Florida Power & Light faster and more efficiently than expected – with significant cost reductions, substantial improvements in reliability and safety, and earnings growth.

Goldstein prides himself on being a leader who makes fact-based, tough-minded decisions and executes them to deliver results, while also serving as a mentor who develops high-performance teams.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics in Finance and Multinational Enterprise from The Wharton School and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
