Personal Branding: Designing an Authentic Narrative with Caryn Pang, Ph.D.

Event description: This event is a small, interactive Personal Branding workshop focused on practical strategies for building a strong and authentic personal brand. The goal is for students to better understand their strengths, define their positioning, and learn how to communicate their value clearly and confidently both in professional settings and in their personal lives.

Dr. Caryn Pang is a personal branding and luxury retail expert with over 15 years of experience working for brands such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. She's also the co-founder of Fashion Friends Collective, a community-based platform reimagining how people enter and thrive in fashion through access, connection, and collective momentum. In 2024, Dr. Pang delivered a TEDx talk on Cultivating Your Personal Brand with the VLR Framework. In that same year, she spoke at the SXSW Conference about the positive impact of mentorship, and is scheduled to speak again at SXSW this year. She is also a 2024 recipient of the ExW ExtraOrdinary Women Award from the Mayor of Boston’s Office of Women’s Advancement and serves as a professor at Parsons School of Design and Hult International Business School, where she teaches Brand Management, Consumer Behavior, and Luxury Management.
