Open+Inclusive
Open+Inclusive (O+I) offers participants opportunities to investigate and help create cultural change. During a series of four 90-minute sessions, participants investigate the importance of cultural change, research the importance of organizational and individual commitment to change, and receive valuable tools and tips to recognize and overcome barriers to inclusion and improve organizational effectiveness.
Open+Inclusive is an MIT Sloan-grown initiative designed to support necessary changes in work climate and culture highlighted in the Interactive Business Inclusion Solutions (IBIS) report, Quality of Life surveys, and ongoing discussions among our student, staff, and faculty communities. O+I is segmented into four (4) sessions that invite participants to discuss how to create cultural change utilizing research frameworks, best practices, and their own experiences. The sessions include:
Session 1: Climate controls our ability to be smarter together
Session 2: Diversity and collective learning
Session 3: Problem-solving as a team
Session 4: Applying our problem-solving skills to improve Sloan and the broader MIT community
Additionally, the Office of DEI offers extended learning opportunities built around O+I’s core concepts.
