Storytelling is a powerful way of communicating your message to prospective employers. Your job story helps you define your career choices, and interviewers see how you fit into their notion of an ideal candidate.

Learn what makes a compelling personal story that sets you apart in interviews and networking events, and practice telling your job story with Senior Lecturer Christine Kelly. The 60-minute session will offer thorough review, practice, and feedback to enhance your effectiveness as a creator of stories.

Key Takeaways:
  • Discover the elements of a strong job search story and why it matters.
  • Practice crafting and delivering your personal narrative in a supportive environment.
  • Receive expert feedback to refine and perfect your story for maximum impact.
Pre-work: Before the session, prepare a 3-minute story that answers the question, "tell me about yourself." Think about what your future employer needs to know about you and be ready to present it in a role-play scenario.

Please note: as part of the registration steps, you will be required to upload your resume.
