Mission To give Sloanies an opportunity to explore existing interests and discover new avenues into the automotive and mobility industries. A secondary purpose to the club is to strengthen relationships with automotive and mobility companies in an effort to increase interest in internship and full-time recruitment of MIT Sloan students. The automotive and mobility industries are rapidly evolving given the introduction of ride-sharing services, electric vehicles, and autonomous vehicles. Through this club, Sloanies will be able to partake in this evolution. Furthermore, the MIT Sloan School has deep ties to the automotive industry. Alfred P. Sloan, our school’s namesake, was the Chairman, CEO of General Motors from the 1920s to the 1950s. This club would not only honor our school’s heritage, but it would also help MIT Sloan build a presence in the automotive/mobility space, something our school lacks today.
Membership BenefitsMembers will be able to attend events held by the club such as panels, conferences, treks, and networking opportunities. Members will also be able to assist leadership with putting on the aforementioned programming.
