Engaging Maintenance

Engaging maintenance is scheduled on Tuesday December 13, which is less than 8 days away. Therefore, when submitting batch jobs to sched_mit_sloan, you must explicitly indicate a runtime. Otherwise 14 days will be presumed by the scheduler and your job will be trapped in the pending mode indefinitely.

For example, if you have a SAS job and wish to place an upper bound on the runtime of 2 days 12 hours and 30 minutes, you will place a line

#SBATCH --time=2-12:30

in your sbatch shell, or if running an interactive job:

srun --time=2-12:30 --pty --x11 --p sched_mit_sloan sas
