Dr. Joseph E. Kasputys, Ph.D., also known as Joe, is a Co-founder of IHS Economics & Country Risk, Inc. and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Dr. Kasputys co-founded IHS Global Insight (formerly, Global Insight, Inc.) in March 2001 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Dr. Kasputys founded Primark Poland and served as its Chief Executive Officer from February 1993 to 1994. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Primark Corp. from June 1987 to May 1988. Dr. Kasputys served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Primark Corporation from June 1988 to September 2000 and President from June 1987 to September 2000. He served as an Advisor of PCN Technology, Inc. Dr. Kasputys also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of TASC (The Analytic Sciences Corporation). In July 1994, he served as Managing Director of Datastream and also a subsidiary of Primark. Dr. Kasputys served as an Executive Vice President of McGraw-Hill, Inc. He served Deputy Director of the White House task force formed to deal with the Arab oil embargo in 1973 and subsequently participated in the founding of the U.S. Department of Energy. Prior to joining McGraw-Hill since 1985, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Data Resources, Inc. (DRI) , from 1977 to 1984. Dr. Kasputys served as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce from 1972 to 1977 and earlier served as Assistant Administrator of the U.S. Maritime Administration. During the Vietnam conflict, Dr. Kasputys served as Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where he participated in developing Department of Defense budgets and management systems. He also participated in the founding of the U.S. Department of Energy. In 1996, Dr. Kasputys founded Decision Economics, Inc. He also serves as Chairman of IHS Economics & Country Risk, Inc. He serves as Chairman of Baseline Financial Services Inc. Dr. Kasputys serves as the Chairman the IHS Advisory Board. Dr. Kasputys served as Chairman of Thomson Financial, from September 2000 to December 2000. Dr. Kasputy serves as a Director of PCN Technology, Inc. He serves as an Independent Director at Signal Hill Capital Group LLC. He has been a board member of Hitachi Foundation. Dr. Kasputys has been a Director of Lifeline Systems, Inc. since 1985. He serves as a Trustee at Committee for Economic Development. Dr. Kasputys served as a Director of New Era of Networks, Inc. since July 1998. Dr. Kasputys served as a Director of Primark since 1987. He served as a Director of Primark Corporation. He served as a Member of the Board of Directors at Logistics Management Institute, Inc. He was a Baker Scholar and a Warren G. Harding Aerospace Fellow at the Harvard Graduate School. Dr. Kasputys holds a B.A. Degree from Brooklyn College and a Master’s and Ph.D. Degrees in Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business, where he was a Baker Scholar and a Warren G. Harding Aerospace Fellow.
