Jason Troutner has been the founder of two venture capital-backed medical device companies, Cast21 and Teal Bio. He also began the journey with two other medical device ideas that never ended up becoming companies. In this seminar, Jason will share his medical device story and explain how the generic startup truisms fall short in the world of medical devices. He will also talk about the two startups he never launched, and how to make the go/no-go decision on a medical device idea.
Bio
Jason Troutner, LGO 19, is a serial entrepreneur who has been a co-founder and/or C-suite executive at three venture capital-backed healthcare technology companies. He has worn most of the startup hats at some point, first as the founding CTO of his first startup Cast21, then as the hired COO of Legit.ai until their acquisition by Clora, and now as the founding CEO of MIT spin-out Teal Bio.
