URM Retreat (ABC, BBSA, HBC)

Join us for a 2-night retreat to the Green Mountains of southern Vermont! Situated near the famous Mount Snow ski area, Dover is a recreational paradise with access to extensive trail systems, natural beauty, and quaint towns for all of the most quintessential New England activities. Soak in the autumnal atmosphere through walking or hiking, leaf peeping during peak foliage, shopping local, and cozying up by the fire for s’mores. Come ready to unwind and build community with other URM (Under Represented Minority) students at Sloan.

Note: Students must be registered members of ABC, BBSA and HBC to sign up for the retreat. Non members will kindly be asked to register as club members or release their spot on the retreat.

A few details for the VT weekend! 🌲✨

We’ll plan to **depart around 11 AM Friday, October 9** and **leave VT around 11 AM Sunday, October 11**.

The *$225 ticket includes lodging + food for the weekend*. It does **not** include transportation or alcohol. We’ll coordinate rides with folks who have cars and supplement transportation as needed.

*The loose itinerary:*

* *Friday:* Arrive, get settled, get-to-know-you dinner + s’mores 🔥
* *Saturday daytime:* Dealer’s choice! Hike in the peak fall foliage, explore town, hang at the house, or do whatever sounds fun to you.
* *Saturday night:* A THEMED dancey party (last year was 90's) 💃🕺, with the option for quieter activities happening at the other house.
* *Sunday:* Breakfast/hang, then head out around 11 AM.

And if anyone has activities, games, hikes, meals, or other things they’d like to plan, we’d *love* the support! Once we have the final roster of attendees, we’ll get all the details hammered out.
