The MIT Food & Agriculture Club invites you to the Future of Restaurant Technology Panel, a conversation at the intersection of restaurants, robotics, and venture investing. This panel brings together three leaders shaping how food businesses are built and scaled today: Gustavo Castillo (Founder & CEO, Pinto Robotics; MIT Sloan ’22), Marcia Hooper (Co-Founder, Branch Venture Group), and Eli Feldman (Partner at Shy Bird and Colette; Adjunct Professor of Restaurant Innovation at BU). Together, they represent the full stack of the industry, from investing in food and agtech, to building restaurant tech startups, to operating and innovating within restaurants themselves.

In a rapidly evolving landscape defined by labor shortages, automation, AI-powered operations, and shifting consumer expectations, what does the future of food actually look like? This discussion will explore where technology meaningfully improves restaurant economics and guest experience, where it falls short, and how founders and operators can navigate the next wave of change. The session will include moderated discussion followed by audience Q&A, with lunch provided. Join fellow MIT students for an engaging, candid conversation about building the next generation of food and restaurant technology.
