Mission The MIT Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA) Club seeks to educate and inspire MIT students to pursue ETA upon graduation. To facilitate this, the ETA Club brings together business owners, private investors, advisors, alumni and students to discuss acquiring and running small companies, with an emphasis on search funds and micro private equity. The Club fosters a supportive community aimed at accelerating students' progress towards launching their own fund by providing introductions to investors, advisors and internship opportunities, as well as by conducting educational events. The ETA Club's signature event is the annual ETA@MIT Summit. What is ETA? ETA is an entrepreneurial path that encompasses searching for and acquiring an existing business (typically a family business with $5-50M of revenue), then taking a leadership position (typically CEO) in that business. ETA is most commonly accomplished through a search fund, or by raising money from outside investors to fund your search and acquisition.Slack Channel: #club-eta-search-funds
