This year's event explores the theme:
When Resources Shrink: Inclusive Leadership, Sponsorship, and Opportunity in a Tight Economy
As organizations navigate increasingly constrained environments, leaders are faced with difficult decisions about hiring, promotion, mentorship, AI adoption, and community investment. This student-led, alumni-supported leadership forum will examine how inclusive leaders continue to create opportunity, develop talent, and build strong organizations when resources are limited.
The program will begin with welcome remarks from representatives of the MIT Sloan Affinity Group Alumni Council (SAGA) and the LGO URM Alumni Group (URMAG), followed by an alumni panel discussion moderated by Lily Colón (MBA '27). Panelists will share perspectives on industry trends, leadership, career growth, sponsorship, recruiting, and hiring opportunities in today's economic environment.
Alumni Panelists:
Andrew Mairena (MBA '19)
Senior Manager, Inbound Product Management, ServiceNow
Dela Gbordzoe (MBA '19)
Partnership Solutions Lead, Meta
Anais Callejon (MBA '20)
Co-Founder, Azeki Road
Following the moderated discussion, participants will engage in an interactive Action Exchange, where current students and alumni will discuss recruiting experiences, career development, and practical ways alumni can support students through mentorship, sponsorship, networking, and employment opportunities.
The evening will conclude with dedicated time for informal networking at Flat Top Johnny's among students, alumni, and members of the broader URM community. All members of the Sloan community are encouraged to attend and help welcome the newest members of MIT Sloan.
Dinner will be provided at the event. Drinks will be provided at the Happy Hour after the event. The Happy Hour will be 21+. Please bring official US Gov ID or passport.
